Etolian Masonic Lodge to install officers

The public is invited to the installation of officers of Etolian Lodge No. 479 on Sunday, June 3. Ceremonies begin at 2 p.m. in the lodge rooms on the second floor of the Masonic Temple, 133 South Union Street, Spencerport. Refreshments will follow and be served in the adjacent dining hall. There is chair lift access for those who may have difficulty with stairs. Dress is casual.

There are over 160 Masons in the Spencerport lodge, which is one of 17 in Monroe County. Karl-Heinz Reich of Gates will be installed as Master. Other officers include: Senior Warden James Toogood of Ogden; Junior Warden Patrick Schwartz of Brockport; Senior Deacon Chester Riley of Churchville; Junior Deacon Edward Zorn and Senior Master of Ceremonies David Hagmier, both of Hamlin; Junior Master of Ceremonies Rockwood Chambers of North Chili; Stewards Arthur McMichael of Greece and Ray Mandeville of Spencerport. Also, Daniel Homa of Ogden will be installed as Marshal; John Dyer of Charlotte as Chaplain and Lodge Trustee; Michael Schwartz as Secretary and Thomas Michielsen as Treasurer, both of Spencerport; along with Tiler Richard Kessler and Organist J. Edward Gillott, both of North Chili.

Ceremonies will include bagpipe interludes by Adam Tianello, a Knights Templar sword salute and arch, and the Flag presentation and anthem by a uniformed team from the James A. Hard-Wayne Charter Post of the Masonic War Veterans, with organ accompaniment by Betty Reisinger.

There will be zither music by Matt Kroetz during the reception in the dining hall.
