Village of Holley plans sesquicentennial celebration

On August 4, the Village of Holley is holding a day-long celebration to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the incorporation of the village.

Festivities will commence at 10 a.m. and continue throughout the day. Arts and craft vendors, entertainment, a chicken barbecue, boat rides, and food are part of the day's events. A parade followed by a huge fireworks display will conclude the day.

The parade, beginning at 7 p.m., will feature four world-renowned Drum and Bugle Corps from around the United States along with floats and marching bands.

An Alumni Marching Band is being formed to participate in the parade. Anyone interested in marching or any organizations that would like to participate in the parade can contact David Dill at 638-8922.
