Letchworth hosts fishing picnic

On Saturday, May 26, the "Learn to Catch a Fish Family Picnic" will be held at Trailside Lodge at Letchworth State Park from noon to 6 p.m. This carnival style event will feature games, activities, educational workshops, nature walks, free fishing (no license required), free lunch and door prizes. The program mixes fun and recreation with learning experiences in aquatic biology and ecology. This event is presented by the Sportfishing and Aquatic Resource Education Program in conjunction with the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation, Cornell Cooperative Extension, and NYS Parks.
