Entry applications for dog obedience classes at the Monroe County Fairgrounds are now available at the Fair Office, located in the Dome Center at the Monroe County Fairgrounds. The dog obedience classes will run for eight weeks every Monday night starting June 11, and are sponsored by the Monroe County Fair. There will be two classes offered at the Fairgrounds. The first will be at 6 p.m. every Monday night and is a puppy class. The second will be at 7 p.m. every Monday night and is geared toward adult dogs. Both classes will cost $35 and are open to youth and adult participants.

Throughout the eight weeks, participants will gain knowledge of techniques to train their dogs basic commands such as heel, sit, stay, come and lie down. They will also learn various methods of basic house breaking and methods to teach their dogs good citizenship.

The class includes participation in a dog show and graduation at the Monroe County Fair, which will run August 1-5. Registration is limited. Sign up at the Fair Office inside the Dome Center, 2695 East Henrietta Road, or call 334-4000.
