Army Pfc. Trevor H. Sears has graduated from basic military training at Fort Leonard Wood, Waynesville, Missouri. During the training, the trainee received instruction in drill and ceremonies, weapons, map reading, tactics, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid, and Army history and traditions. Sears is the son of Howard I. and Cindy A. Sears of Hamlin and a 1997 graduate of Hilton Central High School.


Marine Corps Pvt. Brandon R. Freeman, son of Cheryl A. and Dennis R. Freeman of Spencerport, recently completed basic training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, South Carolina. Freeman successfully completed 12 weeks of training designed to challenge new Marine recruits both physically and mentally.


Marine Corps Pvt. Bryan Vaughn, son of Kristen Kwasnik of Rochester and Jim Vaughn, Jr. of Arizona, recently completed basic training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, South Carolina. Vaughn successfully completed 12 weeks of training designed to challenge new Marine recruits both physically and mentally. Vaughn is a 2000 graduate of Churchville-Chili High School.


Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Chase A. Howland, a 1999 graduate of Spencerport High School, recently graduated from the Navy's Basic Nuclear Power School at Naval Nuclear Power Training Command, Goose Creek, South Carolina. With his newly acquired knowledge, Howland is prepared to operate a reactor on a nuclear powered submarine or aircraft carrier, ensuring the availability of propulsion and power.


Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Matthew G. Gursslin, son of Elizabeth R. Smith of Brockport and Glen D. Gursslin of San Antonio, recently graduated from the Navy's Basic Nuclear Power School at Naval Nuclear Power Training Command, Goose Creek, South Carolina. With his newly acquired knowledge, Gursslin is prepared to operate a reactor on a nuclear powered submarine or aircraft carrier, ensuring the availability of propulsion and power. Gursslin is a 1999 graduate of Brockport High School.


Art Lettie was awarded the Real Estate CyberSpace Specialist (RECS) designation by the Real Estate Cyberspace Society. The designation is awarded to Real Estate professionals who have demonstrated their ability to utilize the internet and other cyberspace tools to assist their clients in a highly efficient and effective manner.

Lettie said that society membership brings national cyberspace networking support to this market area. Election to the society provides members with the latest up to the minute evaluations of real estate cyberspace strategies, tactics, tools, sites and services of particular value to real estate professionals and the clients they serve. Bob Everts has earned the Top Lister of the Month Award for April 2001 at the Ogden-Chili office of Nothnagle Realtors.

He is an Associate-Broker and Notary Public and has been a full-time agent since 1990.

In addition to existing home sales, Everts represents new home constructions with Rowland Associates, and has a sub-division in Gates called Gatewood Heights.

He has found this year to be the most brisk for home sales in his 11-year career, and says he is enjoying his best year ever. Everts was recently appointed to the Board of Assessment Review for the Town of Chili.
