Library receives Kodak grant

The Ogden Farmers' Library is the recipient of a "Dollars for Doers" grant from Eastman Kodak, thanks to action taken by Library Trustee Corinne Goeke. Dollars for Doers is an annual grant program that recognizes and encourages examples of volunteer involvement in community organizations by Eastman Kodak employees. Goeke is an engineer at Kodak and has lived in Ogden for more than 20 years. She joined the Library Board of Trustees in March after having been a devoted library user and volunteer for many years.

The $300 award will be used to purchase educational software for computers located in the children's and teen areas of the library. Some of the titles that will be purchased include the Jumpstart series for grade K-6, Jumpstart Typing and Cluefinders Math for the children's computer. Software planned for the teen computer includes Microsoft Vision 2000, Technical edition and Adobe Photoshop Elements, both of which will encourage teens to explore CAD and graphic development activities at the library.

The library expects to have the software installed and available for use by mid-June. Call Patricia Uttaro at 352-2141 for information.
