As many as 20 participants competed in the Diamond Skills Competition hosted by Hilton-Parma Recreation on June 2 at Parma Town Hall. These participants won first place honors in their respective age groups.

Age 7/8: best batting - Steven Klimer, best fielding - Jimmy Wagner, and best base-running - Jimmy Wagner.

Age 9/10: best batting - Jake Coleman, best fielding - Corey McEvoy, and best base-running - Tyler Klimack.

Age 11/12: best batting - Tim Steadman, best fielding - Mike Benedict, and best base-running - Jonathan Schwind.

Age 13/14: best batting - Bryan Benedict, best fielding - Bryan Benedict, and best base-running - Joe Kepler.

The winners competed in the sectional competition, held June 9 at the Parma Town Hall. Sectional All-Around Champions become eligible to qualify for the Team Championship, to be held at Shea Stadium on June 23.
