Spencerport athletes perform community service

This spring, the Rangers varsity athletic teams have performed a variety of volunteer projects: the baseball team worked at the American Red Cross Blood Drive; the softball team donated $200 from a Cider Sale to the American Cancer Society; the golf team donated $50 from a bottle drive to the Wedgewood Nursing Home; the boys tennis team collected clothing for the Open Door Mission; the boys track and field team volunteered at the American Heart Walk and assisted at the Antique Toy Sale sponsored by the Spencerport Booster Club; the girls track and field team participated in the American Heart Walk and assisted at the Rotary Ziti Dinner.

The "Spencerport Student-Athletes Care" program was honored nationally as the 1994 recipient of Athletic Management's Award of Excellence for community relations
