Pet Pride opens new shelter

Pet Pride of New York, Inc., the Humane Society for Cats only, is officially opening its new shelter with a ribbon cutting ceremony and membership drive on June 30 from 1 to 4 p.m.

The newly-built shelter, which houses the business office and a shelter for cats waiting adoption, is located at 7731 Victor-Mendon Road in the town of Victor.

The 2001 membership drive also starts on June 30, offering several levels of membership to the public. As a cats-only, no-kill humane society, the organization helps abandoned cats find new homes, helps families adopt new cats, and provides educational support for health care and pet responsibility to the community.
