Tot Skate Park open in Parma
Tot Skate Park open in Parma

The Town of Parma opened their new tot skate area at Parma Town Hall Park just adjacent to the existing 13,000 square foot Skate Park. The planning process for this exciting facility began last fall following input from park users concerning inline skate and skateboard opportunities for beginners and young kids. Funding for the Tot Skate Park came from a United Way mini-grant program administered through the Rochester Monroe County Youth Bureau.

The park has four individual ramps ranging from six inches to one foot in height and a Ramplex material skate surface. Tot Skate Park rules are clearly posted at the entrance, and the facility's hours of operation are daily until dusk throughout the summer.

Parma Town Board members thank Patrick Smith who donated his time welding the grind rail and transition plates, and the Youth Bureau for supporting Parma's youth initiatives.
