Brockport sees personnel changes

Brockport's new mayor, Josephine Matela, has made temporary personnel changes in the police department, pending the conclusion of the search for a new police chief. Sergeant Douglas Ziegler has been appointed acting police chief and Officer Mark Philippy will be acting sergeant.

The village has several other vacant positions to fill in various departments. Historian Bill Andrews and attorney Roy Heise resigned following the June 19 election. Assessor/Code Enforcement Officer Bill Weber and Planning Board Chairman Tom Hare resigned at the June 18 village board meeting.
