The Cobblestone Society plans annual fair

The 28th Annual Cobblestone Fair will be held Saturday, August 4, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the Cobblestone Museum Grounds in Childs. The museum is at the juncture of Routes 98 and 104 (Ridge Road), two miles north of Albion. Dealers in antiques and collectibles, an Outdoor Cafe, White Elephant tables, and numerous other activities, together with free parking and free admission, will be ready to entice the visitor.

A quilt show ($1 admission) will be hosted by the Orleans County Quilt Guild in the main auditorium of the Cobblestone Church. Show chairman Kelly Peruzzini has announced that, in addition to quilts exhibited by the guild, the OCQG hopes that non-members will submit quilts for display. Anyone having a quilt or quilts which they would like displayed should phone Peruzzini at 589-5091. Louis Molisani will demonstrate quilting techniques. Proceeds of an on-going Quilt raffle will benefit Albion Hospice.

The used book store with hundreds of $.25 and $.50 books, and the Society's Gift Shop will both be open during the Fair. Dealer inquiries should be directed to 589-6557.

Assisting general chairman William Nestle are: Mary Anne Braunbach, Outdoor Cafe; Evelyn Lyman, White Elephant Tables; Linda Schwartz, Pie Soliciting; Patricia Morrissey, Pie Booth; C. W. Lattin and David Heminway, Tents and Grounds; and Arthur Rowley, Parking.
