Korean War Veterans dedicate park, highway

The Korean War Veterans Association, Monroe County Chapter #1, will be conducting a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, dedicating the "Korean War Commemorative Park" in remembrance of the 50th Anniversary of the Korean War, and will be renaming a portion of State Rt. 441 to the "Korean War Veterans Memorial Highway."

This event will take place on Saturday, July 28 at 11 a.m. on Rt. 441 at the corner of Kirk and Astor Drive near the Rt. 441 exit off interstate 490 in the Town of Brighton.

Dignitaries from Monroe County, Town of Brighton, NYS Assembly, NYS Dept. of Transportation, The Greater Rochester Korean-American Association and the Consul-General of the Republic of South Korea are expected to attend.
