Veterans name field
for Jerry Peck

On Saturday, July 14, Ferris Goodridge Post #330 of the American Legion dedicated the grounds west of the Legion post on Trimmer Road in Spencerport as "Jerry Peck Memorial Field." The recognition was made in honor of the many years of service to the post by Gerald M. Peck who died recently.

Jerry Peck was a past commander of Ferris Goodridge Post, past president of the Spencerport Lions Club and Spencerport Fire Department and a past commissioner of the Ogden-Parma Fire District.

The ceremony was presided over by Post Commander Michael Schwartz and was attended by 250 friends and relatives including Jerry's wife of 54 years, Sue, and their son, Lee, and his wife, Diane. The ceremony was concluded by a salute to Jerry by the Ferris Goodridge Color Guard and a Rifle Squad. Post Chaplain Gerald Cunningham offered prayers for Jerry, his family and friends.

Jerry will be missed by his comrades at the American Legion and his many friends in the community.
