football roster includes area students

The 19th Annual Eddie Meath All-Star football game was scheduled for July 29 at Fauver Stadium.

Cheerleader Jessica Hibbs of Spencerport High School participated on the cheering squad of about twenty students from area districts. She plans to attend SUNY Brockport and participated in Monroe County All County First Team, Ronald McDonald All Star and placed third in the GRI Senior Invitational as well as first in the GRI stunt team competition. She was an honor and high honor roll student during high school.

Katie Foley of Aquinas Institute and a resident of Spencerport is also a member of the cheering squad. She participated in freshman cheering and was a member of the varsity cheerleading team sophomore through senior years. She placed second in the Cheer and Dance Extreme 2000 Junior Individual competition and placed fifth in the Creative Cheerleading Championship 2001 – Outstanding Cheerleader, Jr./Sr. Individuals. A Scholar Athlete, she was team captain and received a Kodak Leadership Award, Math and Science Achievement Awards and the Veterans of America Achievement Award. She plans to attend Syracuse University.

Nicholas Mastrella of Spencerport was a member of the Section V championship team from Spencerport and was named to the Monroe All County First Team. He plans to attend Monroe Community College.

Terry S. Gilmore of Hilton High School played Freshman, JV and Varsity football at Hilton. He holds a school record 42 carries for 236 yards and three touchdowns against John Marshall High School. He was named to the All-County team as a junior when he recorded one sack, one fumble recovery, one interception and seven tackles in one game versus Spencerport and a total of 643 yards rushing in four games. He plans to attend Hobart in the fall.

Other participants included Jeff Bruckman of Churchville-Chili, Mike Mikolaichik of Hilton and Shannon Brinson of Spenceport.
