MCC creates new public administration degree

Monroe Community College has developed a new associate's degree to assist those working in government and not-for-profit organizations wishing to improve their job skills and promotability.

The A.A.S. degree in public administration, the only one of its kind in the area, will begin in the fall 2001 semester. The program concentrates on training individuals willing to serve the public. The degree centers on the skills, knowledge and abilities needed to provide professional service.

As a compliment to this program, MCC also offers a certificate program in Public Administration, designed to provide individuals already working in the field with the skills, knowledge and abilities needed to be an effective professional. Both programs will work to provide training for current and future employees in public administration.
