Quilts on display in annual show

Wondrous fabrics hanging on walls, draped across pews and raised on stilts. Some are new. Some are antique. All are unique and celebrate the joy of quilting.

There will be large and small quilts, wall hangings and other quilted items plus lots of things to do at the United Methodist Church of North Chili Quilt Show 2001 on September 14-15. The price of admission is $3 per person or $2.50 with a donation of a non-perishable food item. All food donations will be collected for the Spencerport Ecumenical Food Shelf. Cash donations will be used for UMCOR Flood Bucket project.

The show features quilt shop vendors, tea room, lunches, gift shop, classes (advance registration required), Farmer's Market on Saturday, Viewer's Choice Award and ABC Quilts.

ABC Quilts will be distributed to Strong Memorial Hospital programs for HIV positive and other at-risk children. Since the 1991 show, area sewers have made over 2,700 of the quilts which are treasured by the children and their care givers.

To exhibit a quilt or register for classes, contact Ellen Farnham at 716-328-5497 by September 4. Each exhibitor receives a pass good throughout the show.
