Campaign ready to kick off

The 2002 Eastern Orleans United Way/Red Cross Campaign is preparing to kick off during the upcoming fall season. Volunteers for United Way of Eastern Orleans have appointed Lee Minier, vice president, Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, 2002 campaign chair.

Other cabinet members appointed were Marian Adrian, Angie Blackley, Don Colquhoun, Rebecca Dillenbeck, Bonnie Englant, Darlene Ginty, Debbie Heuer, Karl Heuer, Paul Hirliman, Joe Martillotta, Karen Mitchell, Ann Neilans, Rev. Frank Nichols, Henry Pawlak, Jerome Pawlak, Dorothy Ross and Kellie Spychalski.

Minier, NYS licensed funeral director and vice president of Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. is active in the community and has held volunteer leadership positions with United Way. He has served on the United Way Campaign Cabinet since 1997, was campaign chair for 2000, is a former board member and past president of Oak Orchard Community Health Center and former board member of Eastern Orleans Red Cross. He has an A.B. from Illinois College, M.S. from SUNY Brockport and a Ph.D. from the University of Colorado.

The campaign officially kicks off on Thursday, September 20, 8 to 9:30 a.m. at the Albion Exempt Fire Department Recreation Hall, 426 West State Street, Albion.
