ALBION

•Boyer, Pauline, On August 31, 2001 at the Lakeside Memorial Hospital in Brockport at the age of 89. She had worked at Duffy Motts in Hamlin. Two husbands, John Miller and Francis Boyer, one son, Edward Miller, and two daughters, Shirley Graybill and Marie Miller, and an infant great granddaughter Amanda Graybill predeceased Mrs. Boyer. She is survived by four daughters, Esther Specht of Rochester, Frances (Raymond) Stachewicz of Medina, Jean (Harold) Boyce of North Tonawanda and Rita (William) Carleton, also of Rochester. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren; 17 great great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; one son-in-law, Emerson Graybill of Rochester; and three sisters-in-law, Romaine Allison of Florida, Faith Allison of Lockport and Helen Allison of Pennsylvania.

A Funeral Service was held September 4 at the Merrill-Grinnell Funeral Home, Albion. Interment, Mount Albion Cemetery. Those wishing can make memorial remembrances to the Strong Children's Hospital Diabetes Unit.


BERGEN

•Gage, Laverne I., On August 28, 2001 at United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia after a lengthy illness. He is survived by wife, Bertha; son, Jerry Gage of Greece; daughters, Dorothy (David) Dixon of Port Byron, Nancy (William) Marinucci of Michigan, Lucille (Denny) Zeghdani of Bergen; brother, Mike Gage of Arizona; sister, Neva Johnson of Bergen; half brother, Clayton (Joyce) Gage of California; half sister, Alice (Gerald) Fitzsimmons of LeRoy; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sister, Arlene Wade. He worked as a mechanic for Gerber Baby Food for many years, was a farmer, carpenter and handyman, a member of the Stone Church Presbyterian Church in Bergen and served with the U.S. Navy from 1944-1946.

Funeral Services were held August 31 at the Stone Church Presbyterian Church, Bergen. Interment Grand View Cemetery in Batavia. Memorials can be made to the Stone Church Presbyterian Church.


BROCKPORT

•VanHooft, Ruth M., On Sunday, September 2, 2001. She is survived by her son, Rupert (Debra) of Brockport; her daughter, Katrina (Ronald) Leavett of Spencerport; four grandchildren, Christina, Renee, Peter, Amy; her sis-ter, Alice.

•Weis, Maryanne M. (Petix), September 4, 2001 at age 51. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard L. Weis and her mother, Anne (Filmeck) Petix. She is survived by her daughters, Amy Weis, Karen Weis and Beth (Brian) DelGudico; her father, Leonard Petix; brother, Thomas (Kathy) Petix; sister Carol (Robert) Roach; her close friend Susan MacGilvray; several nieces and nephews. She was an employee of Park Ridge Hospital.

A Funeral Mass was held September 7 at St. John's Church, Spencerport. Interment St. John's Cemetery. Contributions can be made to Lollypop Farm in her memory.


CHURCHVILLE

•Bruchhauser, Wanda R., August 28, 2001 at age 88. She is survived by her husband of 65 years George E. Bruchhauser; son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Florence Bruchhauser of Brockport; two grandsons, Michael (Angie) Bruchhauser and Allan (Amy) Bruchhauser; two grandchildren, Amber and Alex.

A Graveside Service was held August 30 at Creekside Cemetery, Churchville. Those wishing can make contributions to Lakeside Hospital Foundation, Inc., 156 West Avenue, Brockport 14420 in her memory.


HAMLIN

•Burchfield, Dora Blanche, On August 26, 2001 at the age of 91. She is survived by her son, C. Lee Burchfield; daughter, Audrey (Langford) Dobbins; 11 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Burchfield was a member of the Morton Baptist Church and Order of the Eastern Star #318.

A Graveside Service was held September 1 at Lakeside Cemetery, Hamlin. Contributions can be made to Morton Baptist Church or Monroe Community Hospital.


•Butler, Jewett Bonnell, On Friday, August 31, 2001 at the age of 91. He is survived by his wife, Jean Clark Butler; his children, Bonnie (James) Nichols, Jewett Clarke (April), David A., Ann (Paul) Zaretsky; grandchildren, Trevor (Jane) Nichols, Lee (Emilie) Verbridge, Kristen Nichols, Geoffrey Nichols, Justin Nichols, Taylor Ann Zaretsky, Jewitt Christopher Butler.

A Memorial Service was held September 8 at the First Presbyterian Church, State Street, Brockport. Contributions can be made to the Diabetes Association or the Strong Memorial Cardiology Unit.


HILTON

•Blair, H. Ann (Nichols), March 2, 2001. She was predeceased by her husband, Elwin G. Blair. She is survived by her sister, Nancy (Lincoln) Smith; her brother, Charles (Coby) Nichols; three sisters-in-law, Loretta (Eldon) Simmons, Betty Jean Ward and Linda (John) Coulter; nieces, nephews; grandnieces and nephews.

Graveside services were held September 8 at Parma Union Cemetery


•LeShane, Diane F., September 1, 2001 at age 65. She is survived by her son, Donald LeShane; nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Funeral Service was held September 8 at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home Inc., Hilton. Interment Parma Union Cemetery. Contributions can be made to GRHC Hospice in her memory.


HOLLEY

•Delia, Christopher, At age 95 on September 4, 2001. Survived by daughter, Joan Crovello; brother, Leonard Sauro; sister, Margaret Rotella; three grandchildren, Michael (Joy) Crovello, Mara (Guy Trerotola) Crovello, Michael David Christopher; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held September 7 at St. Mary's Church. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the Fancher, Hulberton, Murray Fire Department or the St. Vincent DePaul Society of St. Mary's Church.


OGDEN

•Carges, Agnes Edith (Stoddart), On August 28, 2001 at her home in Ogden surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Andrew Carges and dear mother of Peter (Beverly) Carges of Barker, Christopher (Joanne) Carges of Massachusetts, Barbara Carges of Clarendon, and Gregory "Chess" (Ann) Carges. She will be sadly missed by nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Mourning the passing of his sister is Henry Stoddart of Rochester. She was predeceased by Charles and Elizabeth. She was employed for many years by Monroe County Savings Bank.

A Funeral Mass was held September 1 in Holy Ghost Church. Interment Holy Ghost Cemetery. Donations can be made to St. Peter's Kitchen c/o St. Peters and Paul's Church or to the Visiting Nurse Foundation.


•Friedberg, John A. "Jackie," Called to the Lord on August 27, 2001 at age 55. He is survived by his beloved soul mate, Mary Norris; loving sister, Millie (Ronald) Bell; his brother-in-law, Donald G. Stulpin; three nephews, Donald (Karen), David and Douglas Stulpin; two great nephews; two great nieces. He was an Army Vietnam Veteran and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Post #412.
