For anyone who appreciates the new playgrounds located throughout Brockport, the Cool Kids summer concerts and winter programs, and the soon-to-be-built skate park in Sweden, you might want to consider donating some time and effort to the organization that makes these things possible – BISCO.

Originally, a coalition of Brockport service clubs – the Rotary, Lions and Kiwanis – the organization now has a much broader umbrella, including individual citizens who don’t belong to any of the member organizations, but would like to contribute to the cause.

The cause is enhancing the lives of Brockport-area youth through programs and facilities that keep kids engaged in healthy, positive activities.

BISCO’s main fundraiser is the annual Brockport Summer Arts Festival and there are all kinds of ways to be involved in the planning and operation of the festival. The commitment can be small or large.

"We’re looking for people who’d like to help with special projects or have an expertise they could share, anyone who would like to contribute something," said member Pat Baker.
