Job Fair set for Military Veterans

The Veterans Outreach Center is sponsoring a free job fair for military veterans on Wednesday, November 7 from 1-4 p.m. at the Danforth Community Center, 200 West Avenue. Veterans are encouraged to bring their military separation/discharge document (e.g. DD-214) if available.

"Jobs in manufacturing, warehousing/distribution, retail operations, health care, food service, utilities, hospitality, maintenance, and communications are among the fields that will be represented," said Nena Siverd, the agency's employment specialist. "This is the first job assistance event for veterans in the Rochester area in several years, and it is an opportunity for veterans who are looking for employment to meet with a variety of employers."

The VOC is a nonprofit agency dedicated to improving the quality of life for veterans and their family members through outreach, counseling, case management services, education, advocacy, vocational counseling, and transitional housing.
