Homeland Security town meetings to be held

County Executive Jack Doyle will host a series of Homeland Security Town Meetings through the Monroe County Office of Emergency Preparedness (OEP). A total of four meetings will be held throughout the community to share important preparedness information and to allow local residents the opportunity to ask questions of emergency response, planning and health officials.

"Over the past few weeks there has been a lot of anxiety and questions circulating throughout our community," said Doyle. "These town meetings will offer an opportunity for all citizens to get important information on our level of preparedness and to ask any questions they may have."

In addition to the County Executive, representatives from the County's Office of Emergency Preparedness, Health Department, EMS Office, Fire Bureau, Sheriff's Department, Public Safety Department, 9-1-1 and the Greater Rochester International Airport will comprise the panel at each town meeting.

The town meetings will be held in the towns of Henrietta, Chili, Greece and Penfield. Monroe County's Homeland Security Town Meetings are scheduled from 7 to 9 p.m. at the following dates and locations: Monday, October 29 at Henrietta Town Hall, Main Meeting Room; Tuesday, October 30 at Chili Town Hall, Town Board Room; Wednesday, November 14 at Greece Town Hall, Eastman Room; and Thursday, November 15 at Penfield Town Hall, Community Center.
