Monroe County residents will elect legislators

All 29 Monroe County legislator seats are up for grabs in the November 6 election. There are four legislative districts representing the Westside News readership. Only one features a contested race.

District 3 covers Northern Chili. Incumbent Republican Tracy L. Logel is defending her seat from challenge by Democrat George E. Mancuso. Issues have included two abandoned projects - the proposed thruway interchange and a youth soccer complex.

In District One, which includes Hilton, Parma and parts of Ogden and Sweden, incumbent Republican Peter N. McCann is unopposed.

Incumbent Republican Wayne Zyra is also unopposed in District Two. That district covers Sweden, Brockport, Clarkson and Hamlin.

Representing Spencerport, Ogden, Churchville, Riga and Chili in District 20 is Republican Incumbent Dennis A. Pelletier. He is unopposed. Pelletier is also currently president of the legislature.
