Senior Justin Wass led the team with 20 kills as the Spencerport Rangers swept Penfield in boy's volleyball 25-19, 25-13 and 25-17 October 17 in a battle of the two top seeds in Section Five.

The third game proved closer with three ties - the last at 12-12 before Spencerport regained its momentum in outscoring Penfield 13-5 down the stretch for the sweep.

Wass added three blocks to go with his 20 kills, many fed by junior Jake Butler's 27 assists. Senior Kevin McEntee added seven kills and three blocks to the win. Sophomore Brandon Wass had the magic touch as the Rangers scored over 15 points when he was serving during the three games.
