Interim pastor chosen for Parma Baptist Church

Dr. Dean Nemecek, former dean and professor of Psychology at Roberts Wesleyan College, has been appointed the interim pastor of the Parma Baptist Community Church, 4997 W. Ridge Road in Spencerport. Since his retirement from the college Mr. Nemecek has served as the interim pastor of several area congregations including Greece Baptist, Hilton Baptist and Ogden Baptist.

The minister's wife, Sylvia, served for eighteen years as a teacher of the learning disabled in the Greece Central Schools. She has been the chairperson of the area Christian Women's Club and teaches Bible classes for that organization in Chili and Hilton.

The Nemecek's have four children. John and Paul are professors at Spring Arbor University in Michigan. Steven, a U.S. Air Force retiree, lives in England and is a teacher of learning disabled adults. Daughter Beth resides in Warsaw, NY and is a sales representative for Kelly Services. The Nemeceks have eight grandchildren. The oldest, Sean, recently began service as the pastor of the First Baptist Church in Tustin, Michigan.
