BISCO issues challenge grant to Brockport Symphony

The Brockport Integrated Service and Community Organization (BISCO) will grant the Brockport Symphony Orchestra up to a total of $1,500 providing the orchestra can raise up to $3,000 by virtue of its other fundraising efforts by June 1, 2002. It is expected that this will encourage donations to the orchestra, which is not supported by government monies. For every $2 they contribute, donors will be earning another $1 from BISCO. BISCO is supporting the orchestra because it contributes greatly to the Summer Arts Festival program and also provides for entry into the symphonic world by young people. Donors or others seeking information about the symphony should call the symphony voice mail number, 234-4296.
