Cynthia J. Rombaut, RN, BSN, will be the new Director of Occupational Health at Lakeside Health System, effective January 7, 2002.

Rombaut has led the Occupational Health Program (formerly Occu-Med) on a part time basis since its inception in 1995.

Rombaut began her career at Lakeside in 1988 and has worked in a number of positions including Unit Secretary, Nursing Assistant, LPN and RN. She received her BSN in 1990 from SUNY Brockport and in 1992 was appointed as a nursing supervisor. In 1995, she assumed the role of Administrative Coordinator for Nursing Education and began the Occu-Med Program. In May 2002, she expects to receive Family Nurse Practitioner Credentials.

Rombaut resides in Brockport with her family.

Joining Rombaut in the expanded program, in a part time capacity, is Dr. Timothy Hagy, Assistant Medical Director of Emergency Services. Dr. Hagy will remain in his ED role in addition to the part time role of Medical Director of Occupational Health.

Dr. Hagy joined Lakeside in 1988 and became Assistant Medical Director of Emergency Services in 1991. He lives in Spencerport.

Lakeside's Occupational Health program assists corporations and federal employees with physicals, drug testing and immunizations, such as Hepatitis B. They are seeking to expand the number of businesses and individuals served on Rochester's west side.
