Beginning Monday, January 7, the Spencerport Central School District will have a new automated telephone attendant. The automated attendant will assist those who don't know the phone number for the school or office they are trying to reach.

The number to reach the automated attendant is the same as the current main number for the district, 349-5000. Callers will also be able to access school lunch menus and the athletic events hotline through the attendant.

Spencerport facilities director John Britton says direct lines to schools and offices will still work. "That's the quickest way to reach someone," he says. The direct number to the high school is 349-5200; Cosgrove Middle School, 349-5300; Bernabi Elementary School, 349-5400; Munn Elementary School, 349-5500; and Taylor Elementary School, 349-5600. The transportation department can be reached at 349-5180 and the number for the sports hotline is 349-5070.

Those who need to call the district can check their district calendar or the phone book for the most frequently called numbers.
