Workshops help small business start-ups get going

Rochester-area residents can learn what it takes to start a business thanks to workshops planned and presented by the SUNY Brockport Small Business Development Center.

Beginning Thursday, January 24, the Staples store in Victor will be host to the series of five, two-hour business workshops. Topics include Small Business Start-up Steps (1/24/02), Business Plan Development (2/21/02), Marketing Online and Off (3/7/02 & 3/21/02), The "Big Box" Mix; Thriving in the Shadow of Big Business (4/25/02). Presenting the workshops will be trainer, business development specialist and author, Gina Marie Mangiamele. Although these workshops are free and open to the public, registration is necessary and attendance is limited to 40 participants.
