Matthew Wermuth graduated cum laude with a bachelor of science degree in December 2001 from Oswego State University. He was also inducted into the Kappa-Kelta-Pi National Honor Society for Educators.

Wermuth is currently employed in the Technology Department in the Hilton School District. He is the son of Karen Wermuth of Churchville.


Michael Murphy, a senior who attends Geneseo State College, has made the dean's list for the fall semester. He is the son of Dale and Sherry Murphy of Spencerport.


Katherine A. Fantauzzo was named to the dean's list at Bucknell University for the fall 2001 semester. A student must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a scale of 4.0 to receive dean's list recognition.

She is the daughter of Frank and Ferne Fantauzzo of Rochester.


Jeffrey Reynolds, son of Richard and Nancy Reynolds, Holley Street, Brockport, has completed work on his bachelor of science degree in computer science at SUNY Brockport and will graduate cum laude in May.

Reynolds , a graduate of Brockport High School (class of 1971) and SUNY Brockport, 1976, lives with his wife, Sharon, in Clarkson.


Lacy Morgan, daughter of Barb Barons of Bergen and George Morgan of Churchville, has been named to the fall 2001 dean's list at St. John Fisher College in Rochester.

Morgan, a freshman, is a psychology major.

To be eligible for the dean's list at St. John Fisher College, a student must have attained at least a 3.3 grade-point average for the semester.


Jennifer MacMullen, daughter of Jack and Joann MacMullen, Jamee Lane, Rochester, has been named to the fall 2001 dean's list at St. John Fisher College in Rochester.

MacMullen , a freshman, is a 2001 graduate of Spencerport High School. She is a biology major.

To be eligible for the dean's list at St. John Fisher College, a student must have attained at least a 3.3 grade-point average for the semester.


Brian Unterborn, son of Randy and Helen Unterborn, Roosevelt Highway, Kendall, has been named to the fall 2001 dean's list at St. John Fisher College in Rochester.

Unterborn, a freshman, is a sociology major.

To be eligible for the dean's list at St. John Fisher College, a student must have attained at least a 3.3 grade-point average for the semester.


Jolene C. Male of Spencerport recently graduated from SUNY College at Morrisville. Her major was equine science.


Erin M. Gray of Denishire Drive, Rochester, has been named to the dean's list for the fall quarter at Rochester Institute of Technology. A fourth-year student in the College of Science, Gray is studying nuclear medicine technology. The daughter of Cindee and Mike Gray, she is a 1998 graduate of Churchville-Chili Senior High School.


Adrienne Smith, a resident of Spencerport, has been elected to the Iota Chapter of the Phi Beta Kappa Society at Gettysburg College.

Smith is a member of the class of 2002.

The Phi Beta Kappa Society, founded at the College of William and Mary in 1776 as the first Greek-letter society in America, exists primarily to publicly recognize academic excellence, and to promote liberal learning through various programs that support and encourage scholars in their activities.


Katie M. Fortner, of Brockport, was named to the dean's list for the fall semester at Indiana University with a 4.0 grade point average.

She is the daughter of Maureen and Paul Fortner.

She is a senior studying elementary education.


Patrick Reynell of Spencerport was named to the dean's list for the fall semester at Temple University.

Reynell was also nominated for membership in Kappa Delta Pi, an educational honor society.

He is an English and English education major and a 1999 graduate of Spencerport High School. His parents are Eileen and Mike Reynell of Village Walk Circle.


Justin Yates of Beahan Road, Rochester, was named to the dean's list for the fall 2001 semester at Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea, Ohio.


The Allied Group of Brockport announced several recent appointments to Allied Builders, Inc., a division of The Allied Group.

Katherine Guyett, who has a bachelor's degree in accounting from State University of New York at Brockport, joined the company as Controller and Accounting Department Manager.

Michael Hall, who has an associate's degree in science from Monroe Community College, was hired as an Estimator.

Douglas Streeter, who has an associate's degree in Building Construction from Alfred State College, has joined as Project Manager/Estimator.

Michael Strickland, who has a bachelor's degree from Bowling Green State University, joined the company as Project Manager/ Estimator.

Jerome Wilson, who was previously president/owner of Archer Lumber, Inc., was hired as a Project Manager/ Estimator.

Michael Yargeau joins Allied Frozen Storage, Inc., also a division of The Allied Group, as Director of Inventory Control. He holds a bachelor's degree from the State University of New York at Brockport and was formerly with Kleen Brite Laboratories, Inc.


Joan Greeno, Associate Broker of Nothnagle's Ogden Chili Office, was again awarded recognition by the Greater Rochester Association of Realtors, receiving the Sales Master Gold Award for 2001. The award was presented at the awards luncheon at the Henrietta Holiday Inn.

Agents receive this award based on 60 or more closed transactions in a 12 month period or achieve a production level of $6 million or more during that same 12 month period.

Greeno is in her 18th year with Nothnagle Realtors and served two years as manager of the Ogden Chili Office.

Greeno has received numerous other awards and achievements including the "Pinnacle Award" given by the Women's Council of Realtors and Ogden-Chili's Top 10 Award. For 2001, Greeno has consistently been number one in production level at her office.


Air Force Airman Ryan M. Bobzin has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

He is the son of Teresa Ahl of Dewey Avenue, Rochester, and Craig Bobzin of Ogden Parma Town Line Road, Spencerport.

Bobzin is a 2001 graduate of Arcadia High School, Rochester.


Army Pvt. Stephen R. Mann has graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Georgia.

During infantry training, he developed basic combat skills and battlefield operations and tactics, and experienced using various weapons and weapons defenses available to the infantry crewman.

Mann's parents are Donald and Mary Mann of Kendall Road, Kendall.
