Former Brockport Rotary Club president and past District Governor Jim Wilkison and his wife, Helene, hosted eight International Rotary district governors-elect recently in their Brockport home. District governors from Rotary's 550 districts are trained for about a week to 10 days in Anaheim, California, prior to assuming the position of district governor on July 1.

Those from countries other than the United States spend an additional week or so visiting a section of this country. This year, 17 foreign governors-elect are being hosted in the Rochester area (District 7120), which extends south to the Pennsylvania line. Eight of these people (pictured above) were present at the Wilkisons. As Rotary International is dedicated to improving understanding among peoples of the world, it is believed that visiting other nations and getting to know citizens of those countries aids dramatically in the attaining of this goal.
