Kevin Miller, son of Sharon and Paul Miller of Ridge Meadow Drive, Spencerport, has been named to the fall 2001 dean's list at St. John Fisher College in Rochester.

Miller, a senior, is a marketing major.

To be eligible for the dean's list at St. John Fisher College, a student must have attained at least a 3.3 grade-point average for the semester.


Ervin J. Starr of North Chili received a doctor of philosophy degree during December commencement ceremonies at SUNY Albany.


Springfield College has named Richard Albano of Spencerport to the dean's list for academic excellence for the Fall, 2001 term.

Albano is a freshman student majoring in history.


Shannon Stoll, a member of the Class of 2002 at Wells College in Aurora, NY has been named to the dean's list for the fall 2001 semester.

She is the daughter of Sarah and David Stoll of Hilton.


Jason Ellis, son of David and Donna Ellis, Flynn Road, Greece has been named to the fall 2001 dean's list at St. John Fisher College in Rochester, N.Y.

Ellis, a freshman, is a mathematics/computer science major.

To be eligible for the dean's list at St. John Fisher College, a student must have attained at least a 3.3 grade-point average for the semester.

Peter Montenaro, son of Peter and Mary Montenaro of Spencerport, has been named to the dean's list at the University of Notre Dame for outstanding scholarship during the fall semester.

The dean's list is comprised of a select group of students who have succeeded in maintaining a scholastic average of 3.4 and above during the past semester.

Montenaro, a 2000 graduate of Spencerport High School, is a sophomore in the university's College of Engineering, majoring in computer engineering.


Gina Montenaro, daughter of Peter and Mary Montenaro of Spencerport, has been named to the dean's list at the University of Notre Dame for outstanding scholarship during the fall semester.

The dean's list is comprised of a select group of students who have succeeded in maintaining a scholastic average of 3.4 and above during the past semester.

Montenaro, a 1998 graduate of Spencerport High School, is a senior in the university's College of Arts and Letters, majoring in history and anthropology.


Jolene C. Male, of Spencerport, has been named to the president's list for the fall 2001 semester at SUNY Morrisville.

She is majoring in equine science.


Scott J. Ellsworth, son of Carol Ellsworth of Spencerport, has been named to the dean's list for the fall 2001 semester at Clarkson University.

He is majoring in marketing.


Jacqueline M. Kesselring, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Kesselring of Spencerport, has been named to the dean's list at Clarkson University.

She is majoring in bio-molecular science.


Shaina K. Bellis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bellis of Spencerport, has been named a president's scholar at Clarkson University.

She is majoring in mechanical engineering.


Brian Goddard, son of David and Jennifer Goddard of Spencerport, has been named to the dean's list for the fall 2001 semester at the University of Notre Dame.

Goddard, a 1998 graduate of Spencerport High School, is majoring in computer science.


Kimberly Goddard, daughter of David and Jennifer Goddard of Spencerport, has been named to the dean's list for fall 2001 at SUNY Cortland.

Goddard is a 2001 graduate from Spencerport High School who is majoring in elementary/special education.


Jaime Lynn Scheg, of Hilton, has been named to the dean's list for the fall 2001 semester at Florida Southern College.

She is a freshman.


Ryan Thomas, son of Sue and David Thomas, Churchville, and a 2001 graduate of Churchville-Chili High School, has been named to the dean's list for the fall semester at Nazareth College of Rochester with a GPA of 3.79. He is a music education major and a member of the college's Concert Choir, Chamber Choir and Opera Workshop.
Thomas also received the Founder's Scholarship and Music Scholarship from Nazareth College.


Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society at Monroe Community College has inducted several area students. The students were honored for their academic success and involvement in college and community activities.

Phi Theta Kappa is the honor society for the nation's two-year colleges. To be considered for membership, students must have earned at least 18 credits toward their degree, with at least 15 of those credits earned at MCC, and have a grade-point average of 3.75 or higher.

Colleen McCall, a Marietta College freshman from Hamlin, has been named to the High Dean's list at Marietta College for the 2001 fall semester. To be eligible for the High Dean's list, a full-time student must complete at least 15 credit hours with a G.P.A. of 3.5 or above for the semester.

McCall, the daughter of Diane and Larry McCall of Hamlin, majors in English. McCall is a graduate of Brockport High School in Brockport.


Realtor Abramo "Brom" Bianchi of RE/MAX First has been awarded the Zenith and Sales Master Platinum for distinction in Real Estate sales for the year 2001.

The 14th annual "Breakfast of Champions" Star Power Program was recently held in Rochester with guest speaker Howard Relin, Monroe County District Attorney.

The awards presented were given to top performing Realtors associated with the Greater Rochester Association of Realtors by the Women's Council of Realtors.


Bill Howard of Prudential K.A.R.E.S. Realty has been awarded by the Greater Rochester Association of Realtors (GRAR) the top honors awards for both residential and commercial sales for his achievements in 2001.

The GRAR presented Bill with the Sales Master Platinum Residential Award, an award given only to top producers who closed 100 plus transactions in 2001. At the same ceremony, the GRAR presented Bill with the Commercial Sales Master Gold Award. This award was obtained by leasing over 100,000 square feet of commercial property in 2001.

These awards given by the GRAR are presented to the top real estate professionals throughout the county. Howard is the only agent to ever receive both awards in the same year.

Howard is the Broker/Owner of Prudential K.A.R.E.S. Realtors.


John Masters, manager of the Nothnagle Realtors Hilton office, has named Sherry Andrews Realtor of the Year, Hilton's Top Producer for 2001.

Andrews also received the Pinnacle Award from The Women's Council of Realtors, for Epitome of Excellence in Real Estate. Phil Nothnagle also presented Andrews with a plaque for 20 years of service.


Master Sergeant Martin Sepkowski, son of Elaine (Sepkowski) Reidosh of Spencerport and Edward Sepkowski of Greece, was a graduate of Greece Olympia High School and has retired from the U.S. Army after 20 years of service. He is currently residing in Hawaii with his wife and son.


Army National Guard Pfc. Timothy A. Finch has graduated from the light-wheel vehicle mechanic advanced individual training (AIT) curse at Fort Jackson, Columbia, South Carolina.

Finch is the son of Andrea A. and stepson of James Lanphere of Spencerport.

The private is a 2001 graduate of Spencerport High School.


Army National Guard Pfc. Scott G. Quick has graduated from the light-wheel vehicle mechanic advanced individual training (AIT) course at Fort Jackson, Columbia, South Carolina. Quick's parents are Robert J. and Elizabeth B. Quick of Blue Heron Drive, Rochester. He is a 2001 graduate of Spencerport High School.


Army Reserve Pvt. Stacy L. Engert has graduated from basic military training at Fort Leonard Wood, Waynesville, Missouri.

She is the daughter of Suzette L. and Michael P. Engert of Spencerport.

Engert is a 2001 graduate of E.J. Wilson High School, Spencerport.


Air Force Airman 1st Class Jason M. Stiehler has graduated from the aerospace maintenance apprentice course at Sheppard Air Force Base, Wichita Falls, Texas.

The student learned aircraft maintenance fundamentals and weapons systems familiarization, security instruction, technical order systems, maintenance management and documentation, aircraft and flight line safety.

Stiehler is an aerospace maintenance apprentice for KC 135 aircraft.

He is the son of Patricia and Wayne E. Stiehler, of Spencerport. He is a 1998 graduate of Churchville-Chili High School and a 2001 graduate of Monroe Community College.
