Seminar focuses on Alcohol and Beverage Control Law

The Monroe County Sheriff's Crime Prevention Unit will present a seminar on the Fundamentals of Alcohol and Intoxication Recognition (F.A.I.R.) during a special educational program for the sellers and servers of alcoholic beverages.

Legal issues will also be covered addressing how to limit law suits from Dram Shop litigation through the use of written documentation and policies. Attendees will also be given an overview of the physical effects of alcohol on the body.

The free presentations will be given by uniformed deputies of the Monroe County Sheriff's Crime Prevention Unit. To schedule a class, given at the Police and Fire Academy at 1190 Scottsville Road, call 428-5510.

Classes are scheduled for Wednesday, March 13 from 7 to 9 p.m.; Saturday, May 11 from 9 to 11 a.m.; Wednesday, July 24 from 7 to 9 p.m.; Saturday, September 28 from 9 to 11 a.m.; Wednesday, November 13 from 7 to 9 p.m.
