The Brockport College Foundation has announced the appointment of five new members to the Foundation's Board of Directors.

Joining the BCF Board are:

•Roosevelt Bouie, Jr., a resident of Kendall, with a long-term affiliation with SUNY Brockport, is co-owner of Salt City Communications, Inc. in Syracuse, a consulting firm that works with county governments to foster business exchanges with Italian businesses.

A graduate of Syracuse University with a BA in Speech Communication, he was one of SU's greatest basketball players and had a successful career in professional football in Italy following his graduation. He is spokesperson for the American Heart Association "Hoops for Heart" program, a member of the American Heart Association of the Genesee Valley Board of Directors, and is a frequent public speaker for community groups, various regional high schools, the Boy's Club and the Urban League of Rochester.

•Thomas J. Gosdeck, a resident of Latham, NY, earned his BA from SUNY Brockport ( Class of 1973) and his Juris Doctor from SUNY Buffalo. A member of the New York State Bar, Gosdeck is currently a partner at Hill & Gosdeck, a law and legislative firm that has at various times represented the Association of Automobile Manufacturers, Kraft Foods, the credit reporting industry, veterinary medicine, Workers' Compensation Group Self-Insurers, and a variety of businesses and trade associations, primarily in the areas of health care, food, consumer and environmental law.

He is a founding member of an Albany advocacy group, the New York Food Groups. Locally, he has served as a trustee of the Aquinas Institute of Rochester and a member of the Board of Directors of Camp Good Days and Special Times, Inc.

•John Hover is president and chief executive officer of Hover-Davis Inc., a Spencerport computer parts maker and exporter. Hover-Davis, Inc. was ranked number one by the Greater Rochester Metro Chamber of Commerce and KPMG in their 2001 Top 100 List as Rochester's fastest growing private company. Hover received the International Business Executive of the Year award at the 11th annual Upstate New York Trade Banquet last year and the Ernst & Young LLP Entrepreneur of the Year for Upstate NY Region in 1999.

A Hilton resident, he is a member of the Board of Directors of Workforce Development in New York state and was a sponsor of the Annual Cystic Fibrosis Golf Tournament last year. He is a graduate of SUNY College of Technology at Canton.

Jacques M. Lipson, MD, is an internal medicine practitioner in Rochester where he resides. Lipson received his BA from the University of Michigan and his MD from the University of Buffalo.

He is currently serving on the Board of Directors of the General Hospital Foundation, and was previously a board member with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, the Monroe County Medical Society, and the Irondequoit Country Club, to name only a few. He is also an American College of Physicians Fellow and an American College of Chest Physicians Fellows.

Jackson "Bruce" Rex is past owner and president of Ontario Foods. The Holley native holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Northwestern University and an MBA from the University of Rochester.

Rex is a member of the Holley Investment Club, American Association of Individual Investors, and has recently completed a one-year term as the 175th anniversary chairman for the Brockport United Methodist Church.

The mission of the Brockport College Foundation is to encourage, accept and manage private gifts in support of SUNY Brockport.
