Monroe County has secured grant funding of the snowmobile trail and maintenance program. The funding is from the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation and is derived from snowmobile registration fees.

The $1,328 grant will pay for the installation of trail markers and road crossing signs for approximately 11 miles of trails through the Towns of Ogden, Riga, and Wheatland, including the Village of Churchville and a short trail connection in the county's Churchville Park.

Monroe County partnered with the Hilton Sno-Flyers to secure this grant funding. The acceptance of the grant is subject to approval by the Monroe County Legislature at its regularly scheduled meeting on March 12.
