AREA

•Herring, John "Doc", 86, on February 24, 2002. Former amateur baseball and basketball player and coach, organizer of Oldtimer's sports reunions and was a supervisor at Kodak for 36 years.

Predeceased by his wife, Katherine in 1995. Survived by son, John W. (Karen Harkenrider) Herring of Rochester; daughter Alta (Craig) Porterfield of Camden, Delaware; three grandchildren, John Herring, Aleine and Brian Porterfield; niece, Judy (Paul) Russello; grand-nephews, Vince and Michael; grandniece, Mary, and many cousins.

Funeral Services were held March 2 at the Pullman Memorial Universalist Church, Albion 14411. Interment Mt. Albion Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the church in his memory.


ALBION

•Doyle, Rosina Catherine, on February 23, 2002 in Lyndonville. She was the daughter of the late Alfansio (Mary Jackson) Milto.

She was predeceased by two husbands, Arthur Martell and Stanley Doyle and one daughter, Catherine Nichols. Survived by her daughters, Mary Barbeau of Batavia and Anna Martell of Lyndonville; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services were at the convenience of the family.


•Ekroth, Frances S., 93, of the Hindsburg Road, Albion, February 23, 2002. She was the daughter of the late Clarence (Sarah Rhodes) Smith.

Her husband, Alfred William Ekroth, and a sister and brother, Dorothy Jurs Callad and Henry Smith, predeceased her. Mrs. Ekroth is survived by her sister-in-law, Joyce E. Gworek; several nieces and nephews including Esther Jean Hastings, Rita Helsdon and John Callard; many friends and neighbors.

Funeral Services were held February 27 at the Merrill Grinnell Funeral Home, Albion. Interment Transit Road Cemetery. Memorial remembrances can be made to the Orleans County Meals on Wheels or a charity of one's choice.


•Lindsay, Naomi, February 20, 2002. She is survived by her loving son, Mark (Karen) Keane; sister, Millicent Beatson; many nieces and nephews. Naomi was one of the ten original teachers who founded the BOCES system in Spencerport.

A Prayer Service was held February 24 at New Comer Family Funeral Home. Memorials can be made to the National Wildlife Foundation, 7506 Lawn Street, Philadelphia, PA 19128.


BROCKPORT

•Rinaldi, Sheila J. (Parker), February 24, 2002 at age 51. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald A. Rinaldi. She is survived by her children Elizabeth and Nicholas Rinaldi; her mother Margaret "Peg" Parker-Clark; siblings Sandra (Richard) Casanzio, Sharon Parker, Suzanne (Harry) Zigrossi, William (Carol) Clark and David (Audrey) Clark; father-in-law Aniello Rinaldi; brothers-in-law John (JoAnne) Rinaldi and James (Linda) Rinaldi; several nieces and nephews. She is an employee of Eastman Kodak Company.

A Funeral Mass was said February 28 at Spiritus Christi Church, Rochester. Interment St. John's Cemetery, Spencerport. Contributions can be made to the Oncology Department of Strong Memorial Hospital in her memory.


CHILI

•Jewell, Richard M., February 19, 2002. Survived by his wife, Gail (Russell) Jewell; children, Christina M. Jewell, Chryssi Mayer; granddaugther, Amber Mayer; brothers, Wayne R. (Linda) Jewell, Warren R. (Lucielle) Jewell, William R. (Beverly) Jewell, Ricky M. Jewell; aunt Phyllis Burruto; mother-in-law, Alice Russell; sister-in-law Jane (Vincent) Cenzi; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

His Funeral Mass was said February 26 at St. Pius Church. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Donations can be sent to St. Pius Church, 3000 Chili Avenue, Rochester, NY 14624 in his memory.


HAMLIN

•Addley, Judith A. (Defazio), On February 22, 2002 at the age of 59. She is survived by her beloved husband, Gerald; her children, Denise (Timothy) Bilohlavek, Charlene (Ed Nowicki) Streeter, Scott Siple, Tom (Mary) Addley and Theresa (Pete) Rich; grandchildren, Brendon, Brandilynn, Joseph, Brittany, Kaylee, Alexander, Mikaela, Ian, Timmy, Erin, Gabriella, Jackson and Spencer; brother, Dominic (JoAnne) Defazio; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.

A Funeral Mass was said February 26 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. Interment, Mt. Olivet Cemetery in the spring. Donations can be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Transportation Fund.


•Goff, Donald E., February 21, 2002, age 88. Husband of Nancy Christopher Goff of Batavia; father of Stuart (Marcia) Goff of Hamlin; grandfather of Heather Goff of Hamlin; and the late Patrick K. Goff.

Services were held March 1 at St. Joseph's Church, Batavia. Memorials can be made to NY State Veterans Home, 220 Richmond Avenue, Batavia, NY 14020.


SPENCERPORT

•Paramboukas, Zmaro, February 26, 2002 at Wedgewood Nursing Home. Zmaro was born on February 28, 1920 in Staminko, Bulgaria. She and her husband, Gust, owned and operated the Acropolis Candy Store in Rochester until his death in 1952. Zmaro later worked for Wegmans in the meat department.

She was a member of the Senior Citizens Action Council in Spencerport and enjoyed gardening. Zamaro is survived by her daughter, Mary Skivington of Spencerport; grandchildren; Michael (Sharon) Skivington, Karen (Mark) McCrea, Nancy (Guido) Barbone, Patrick (Margot) Skivington, John (Jill) Param, Christine Param; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Her husband, Gust; son, John; and granddaughter, Patricia predeceased her.

A Funeral Service was held March 2 at Greek Church of the Annunciation, Rochester. Memorials can be made to the Wedgewood Nursing Home, 5 Church Street, Spencerport 14559 or a charity of choice in her memory.
