High winds cause more damage

Trees weren’t the only things to suffer in the March 10 wind storm with gusts over 75 mph. Along Lake Road in Hamlin, utility poles snapped at midpoint, causing more than a little stress on the attached wires. At 4500 Roosevelt Highway, a tree crashed into a mobile home, narrowly missing two of the inhabitants. The Red Cross is providing food and shelter for the family whose home was destroyed.
