gymnastics championship Bright Raven gymnast Krystal Kaminski of Chili is a two time State Champion capturing first place in two events at the USA Gymnastics Level 9 State Meet held in Florida, New York, March 16. Her high score of 9.35 was good for first place in floor exercise and her 9.175 was also good for first in vaulting. Krystal competed in all four of the women's events which also include balance beam and uneven parallel bars to earn a total score of 35.775 which earned her the second place all around medal. Her performance at the New York State Championships has qualified her to advance to USAG Regionals to be held April 5 through 7 in Woburn, Massachusetts. There she will compete with top gymnasts from New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine. 18-year-old Krystal is a senior at Churchville-Chili High School. |
