Girl Scouts host open house May 5

The Girl Scouts of Genesee Valley invites girls (ages 5-17) and their families to attend an Open House at Camp Pinewood from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 5. Come discover the fun and adventure offered at Resident Camp at Camp Pinewood, nestled in the hills of the Finger Lakes region near Dansville. (Camp Pinewood is located on Wiley Road in Arkport.)

Camp Pinewood boasts 700+ acres of woods, wetlands and a lake. At resident camp, girls may choose from more than 20 themes, including the ropes course, horseback riding, backpacking, hiking, and arts and crafts. Sessions run from July 7-August 9. Girls entering grades one to three sleep in a lodge, and girls entering grades four through twelve sleep in either A-frames or platform tents. (Girls do not need to be currently registered in Girl Scouts to sign up for summer camp. Scholarships are available).
