Bright Raven Gymnasts qualify for Nationals

Three Bright Raven Gymnasts competed in the USA Gymnastics Level 9/10 Regional Championships held in Woburn, Massachusetts April 5-7. They earned many honors and qualified to advance to USAG Junior Olympic National Championships. At Regionals, these gymnasts had the opportunity to compete with top gymnasts from New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island and Maine.

Seventeen-year-old Randi Bisbano of Greece competed as a Level 10 gymnast and took first place in floor exercise with a high score of 9.375 in the Senior B division. She placed second on the uneven parallel bars (8.35), third on beam (9.00) and fourth all around with a total score of 35.425. Her high all around finish has qualified her to compete in the USAG Level 10 National Championships to be held May 3-5 in Landover, Maryland. Bisbano is a junior at Greece Olympia.

Eighteen-year-old Krystal Kaminski of Chili and 15-year-old Shauna Gentile of Scottsville competed as Level 9 gymnasts. Kaminski took first place in two events scoring a 9.425 in floor exercise and a 9.25 in vaulting. Her all around score of 35.20 was good for ninth place in the Senior C division. Shawna Gentile placed twelfth on beam with an 8.825 and eleventh all around with a score of 34.55. Both Kaminski and Gentile have qualified to compete in Eastern Final Championships to be held in Kissimmee, Florida April 27-28. Kaminski is a senior at Churchville-Chili High School and Gentile is in tenth grade at Wheatland-Chili High School.
