The Town of Parma releases its summer brochure the week of May 20. In addition to their long-time summer staples, several new programs will be offered.

For pre-school children, they will offer swim lessons, horseback riding, and the Tot Playground programs. New programs for this summer include Tiny Tot (ages 2-4) and Pre-School (ages 4-6) Gymnastics.

Several Youth Programs, including the Summer Playground Program, Youth Golf League, Gymnastics, Baseball, Softball, Creative Clay, Babysitting, Home Alone and Safe Workshop, Horseback Riding, golf and swimming lessons are available. Summer Camps for Baseball, T-Ball, Basketball, Football, Wrestling, Cheerleading, Volleyball, Field Hockey, Soccer, Lacrosse, Archery, Horseback Riding, and Baton will run during June, July and August. The Hilton High School Tennis Program will run a Community Tennis Tournament, June 20-23. There will also be a three-on-three Basketball Tournament on Saturday, August 3 for boys and girls ages 16 and under.

New programs this summer for youth include a Learn to Canoe Program (ages 11 and up) which will include several trips down local creeks, a Summer Band Ensemble and a Summer Theatre Camp which will include a performance of "Once Upon A Mattress."

Adult programs being offered this summer include Scuba Diving Lessons, Tai Chi, an Adult Golf Clinic, and the Camping Jamboree in conjunction with the Town of Parma's Summer Celebration taking place this year on Saturday, August 3.

For Senior Citizens, this summer there will be several day trips, as well as miniature golf league and two Senior Picnics; one at the Parma Town Park, and the other at Hamlin Beach. The Senior Citizen Center also will have their ongoing lunches and activities that include Bingo, Euchre, Bridge and Crafts.

Brochures will be distributed through the Hilton Central School district and will be available at the Parma Library, the Parma Town Hall, and the Village Community Center. Questions can be directed to the Recreation Department at 392-9030.
