Spencerport Volunteer Fire Department calls for May 19-25

13 total calls for the week including 5 medical calls, 1 fire alarm, and 3 motor vehicle accidents.

May 20 - 1:30 pm – One engine responded to 5 Nelson Morton Drive at Roberts Wesleyan College for a fire alarm. Investigation showed alarm activated by a spray painting operation, no fire. Avoidable alarm report sent to Town of Ogden. Back in service at 1:46 pm.

8:58 pm – Report of a car upside down in the creek at Stony Point Road and South Union Street. One engine and rescue responded to find a single car accident that struck a deer and a tree. Occupant denied being injured. Back in service at 9:19 pm.

May 23 - 7:23 pm – Report of smoke in the hallway of an apartment complex on Norwich Drive. Two engines and two ladders (including one ladder Mutual-Assist from Gates-Chili Fire District) responded to find the source of smoke to be from burnt food in one of the apartments. Ventilated smoke from the structure, all equipment back in service at 7:42 pm.

May 24 - 4:59 pm – One engine requested mutual aid fill in to Brockport Fire Department Station #1. Brockport manpower and equipment at the scene of an occupied car into the Erie Canal. Spencerport equipment back in service at 7:22 p.m.
