Lakeside launches Kendall and Spencerport committees

On the evening of May 13, Lakeside hosted volunteers about to reach out to their families, friends and neighbors to encourage support for Lakeside Health System. The kick-off celebration signaled the beginning of the Kendall and Spencerport Committees of the Lakeside "Building for the Next Generation" Capital Campaign. Spencerport Co-chairs, Jean M. Rivoli and Tom Friedo, head up the twelve volunteer committee, including Kathryn Blackburn, Gary Boughter, George W. Campbell, Chuck Colby, Joseph B. Laws, Gay H. Lenhard, Dennis A. Pelletier, Joseph and Heidi Reinschmidt, Keith A. Ryan and Betty Spencer.

The Kendall Committee is led by Robert H. Slocum and John B. Wing. The committee members are Carol Billings, Judi J. Ernenwein, Della Fisher, Dr. James Gaden, Linda Morey, Richard Pouliot, James T. Richards, Robert and Debbie Ryan, Marietta Schuth and Richard C. Wheeler.

Lakeside has been awarded a prestigious Kresge Foundation challenge grant of $300,000 which means that Lakeside must reach its goal of $3 million to receive the grant. Already over $2.7 million has been raised, with less than $300,000 to go. In essence, every new dollar raised will be doubled by The Kresge Foundation grant. Anyone interested in supporting this project or volunteering to work on a committee can call the Lakeside Foundation at (585) 395-6095.
