Hilton K-6 Elementary Summer Learning Program accepting applications through June 21

The Hilton High School District Elementary Summer Learning Program enters its fourth year this summer. Held at the Quest Elementary School, 225 West Avenue, Hilton from 8:30 a.m. to noon, July 22 to August 16, the Summer Learning Program is aligned with Hilton-Parma Recreation Summer Playground program.

Approximately 350 students are involved, according to Susan Allen, Assistant Superintendent for Instruction. "The Elementary Summer Learning Program is designed to support and enrich our students," she said. "Preference is given to K-6 students who are currently receiving academic support services or who performed below the N.Y.S. reference point on State tests in English Language Arts and Mathematics," she added. "Students receive 70 hours of supervised instruction tailored to students' specific academic needs."

Enrollment is limited. Early registration is suggested. All openings are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. All K-6 students are eligible to apply. There is no fee to attend. Parents provide transportation and lunch. For information, contact Michael Consadine by calling 392-1000 extension 2356.
