The Kendall Chapter of the National Honor Society has selected chemistry and physics teacher Jerry Greenlee to receive the University of Rochester Teacher of the Year Award. Every year, the U of R invites each high school in the Rochester area to nominate a teacher for the award. In addition to teaching, Greenlee coaches wrestling and is a National Honor Society advisor. He has taught at Kendall Junior/Senior High School since 1984.

"Mr. Greenlee is such a good teacher," said senior Vincent Flow. "His enthusiasm makes science class enjoyable and exciting."

The award recipients were honored earlier this month at a reception at the Memorial Art Gallery.
