Star Party set for Northampton Park

A Public Star Party hosted by the Astronomy Section of the Rochester Academy of Science is scheduled for Saturday, June 29 (held only if skies are clear) from 10 p.m. to midnight at Northampton Park (near the ski lodge) on Hubbell Road off Rt. 31 in Ogden.

Members of the local astronomy club invite people of all ages to the park to view deep sky objects through the members' telescopes. See galaxies, star clusters, and gaseous nebulae. Venus will be visible early in the evening.

Knowledgeable people will be on hand to answer questions. No equipment is needed, but people who want to learn how to better use their own telescopes and binoculars are welcome to bring them along.
