The New York State West Youth Soccer Association State Cup finals were held in West Seneca, NY on June 1 and 2. Teams from the Rochester, Buffalo, Syracuse and Binghamton districts competed for the New York State West Championship. Boys and girls from U-12 to U-19 compete for state titles each year.

The Rochester Football Club is one of two boys Premier Soccer Clubs in Rochester. This team finished in the top four teams at The Indoor National Championships in 2001 and the top eight teams in 2002. Boys from many local high schools make up this team and hold honors such as All Greater Rochester Player, All County Player, Olympic Development Program State Pool Player. Some of the players have participated in the Nike Cup (World Cup for 14 year olds). Some have played in Holland, Belgium, France, Germany and Hawaii.

This team advances to Regional competition at the end of June in Niagara Falls, New York. Regional competition will include other State Cup Champions from Virginia to Maine (Region 1).
