Residents approve land transfer in Chili

Voters came out June 18 and cast their votes in favor of the transfer of a small parcel of land in a subdivision in Chili. The unofficial vote numbers were: 1,300 in favor and 1,048 against the selling of the parcel of land by the town.

The 4.4 acre parcel of land is a town park adjacent to Ranchmar subdivision and had been gifted to the town in 1954 by builder Joe Entress.

"I'm really pleased that the residents of the town came out and supported the initiative," Chili Supervisor Steve Hendershott said. "The sale will benefit the kids in the town."
