Middle School receives Superintendent's Award

Hilton School District seventh grader Jesse R. Phillips, center holding sibling, received the June 2002 Excellence in Student Learning Award. He was selected for the award by Hilton Superintendent of Schools John Cooper, right. A student on the school's Kappa Team, Jesse is described by his teachers as "a student who has a true interest in learning and is very inquisitive ... a first-rate student, works hard, cares about his accomplishments, works to his full potential, is well-rounded and personable." Superintendent Cooper presented Jesse with a certificate and a $50 Savings Bond sponsored by Ryan Printing. The award is presented five times a year to a Hilton School District student who exhibits a special love of learning.
