Brockport golf tournament
benefits school scholarship fund

The Agape Physical Therapy Charity Golf Tournament will be held Sunday, July 28, at Hickory Ridge Country Club on Lynch Road in Holley. The event starts at noon with registration and lunch. Tee-off time is 1 p.m. A steak roast dinner and awards start at 6:30.

Proceeds this year will benefit the Christ Community Church School Scholarship Fund. The Scholarship Fund assists families who otherwise could not afford private Christian education which is provided at Brockport's Christ Community Church through eighth grade. Agape co-owners, Frank and Esther Nowak, and several employees are members of the church.

"Our hope at Agape is to choose a different charity each year to assist," said Sheri Fadale, event chairperson at the Brockport office on West Avenue. "We do other things like sponsor MS walks, but we thought we would like to have an annual event of our very own." She added that many of their 25 employees and many clients are golfers.

The cost for golf, cart, lunch and dinner is $70 per golfer. Awards, raffles, door prizes and a silent auction are part of the event.
